Case Study - The Kinkade Network

The Kinkade Network is the Internet's only secondary market exchange designed exclusively for Thomas Kinkade Signature Dealers. It is a website that allows Thomas Kinkade Signature Galleries to trade art between each other at wholesale prices.

There are 5 different fields that make up a product combination: Style, Title, Size, Lithograph, and Edition. Using simple math, there are over 205,000 possible combinations, but only 3,100 actual combinations in the database.

Before DbCombo, the user had to submit the form each time they selected a new record, so that the page could reload the next drop-down box with the requested information. DbCombo allows us to simplify the user experience by cutting the number of clicks required in half, and eliminates long waits between page postbacks.
