Version number

Q: How do I tell which version I'm using?

A:

There are a few ways to tell the version of DbCombo...

The version that is running on a site

DbCombo inserts a small HTML comment into the page. Click View > Source on a page with a DbCombo control on it. There should be a passage that looks like:

<!-- DbCombo v4.0.2 - www.dbcombo.net - Copyright ...

The exact version of DbCombo is shown in the comment.

The version of the DLL

The exact version of the DLL file can be found by right clicking on Cambro.Web.DbCombo.dll and choosing Properties. Choose the Version tab, and the version is shown on this panel.

The version that you originally purchased

Log into www.dbcombo.net, and visit the 'My Purchases' page. Choose the relevant purchase by clicking 'View Products' next to the purchase of interest. The products will be shown below. The 'Products' table will contain one or more rows that will describe the product – e.g.:

QtyProduct
1 QuickAdmin v2 Pro, single domain Show options

In this context, only the major version is relevant. This is because all minor upgrades are performed free of charge. This is the version that is relevant for upgrades etc.

The current licensed version

In the 'Products' table described above, click 'Show Options' next to the product of interest. (If the item quantity is more than one, you will need to select the license item from the drop-down, and click 'Go').

Under the 'License Key' header, the exact version of the license key will be displayed - e.g.:

Product name: DbCombo Pro
Version: v4.0.2
License type: Restricted

This may be of a different version to that of the original purchase. Some products come with a complimentary upgrade to the next major version.
